Introduction:

Thank you for the opportunity to introduce ourselves to you. We are Brady and Jeanette Cline, international educators from the United States. Over the last nine years we have had the chance to work in excellent schools, which have challenged us to develop greatly as professionals. We have worked at a variety of different types of schools from progressive IB/PYP schools to the more traditional. In each case we have strived to learn from those around us, incorporating their best practices and sharing our own expertise in whatever ways we can. International teaching has provided us many wonderful adventures and blessings, not the least of which is the blessing of seeing the smile on a child's face and knowing we put it there.

Leadership:

We both had successful careers before becoming teachers, and we believe this has given us a good perspective on what it means to be a professional. In addition to our successes in the classroom, we both have been very active in extra-curricular activities, committees, and coaching. Additionally, school administrators have singled us out to provide leadership in several areas, including curriculum development, professional development workshops, and technology implementation. Following continual encouragement from faculty and administration alike, Brady is considering a move into more formal leadership positions.

Current Activities:

Brady and Jeanette are currently enjoying a one-year sabbatical in Hawaii. Although quite idyllic, they are keeping busy: Jeanette is working on her masters degree in intercultural relations and Brady is finishing his M.Ed thesis. They both work part-time at the local university where Brady is launching a mobile computer testing program, and Jeanette is helping out with their fledgling ESL program. In their remaining time, Brady does freelance photography and graphic design, and Jeanette writes.

Highlights:

In addition to being a fully qualified, experienced teachers, Brady & Jeanette both have varied specialties.

  • High school, middle school, & elementary experience

Jeanette:

Background:

Brady and Jeanette both had successful careers outside of education before becoming teachers.

After studying psychology and journalism, Brady began working for a mid-sized internet company in Orange County. After gaining notice from the CEO, he went on to lead a small department of graphic design and web developers. After several years of management and travel for international sales calls, he began to re-evaluate his career. On the eve of yet another promotion, resigned; one week later he left to Honduras for his first teaching experience.

Words of Praise:

Dear Mr. Cline,
I just wanted to say thank you so very much for Maggie's lovely report card.  I think it is perhaps one of the most thoughtful and thorough reports I have ever received.  I can only guess how long it must take to put such effort into each one.  Please know that we very much appreciate it.
You are a fabulous teacher and obviously committed to ensuring the best comes out in your students.
Thank you again.

Sincerely,
Maureen and Ken Campbell

When I think of Jeanette in the classroom, high expectations and her willingness to go the extra mile for the students is what first comes to mind. She has raised the standard in our primary classrooms and holds her students to those standards consistently. She has set expectations for her students' academic work, as well as for their classroom behavior. The way Jeanette teaches and runs her classroom have become a standard towards which other teachers aspire.

Video & Media:

If a picture says a thousand words, than how many words does a video say? Well in the case of this one, not that much, but we do hope it will help you to get to know us a bit better.

Contact:

Their are many wonderful international schools all over the world. Unfortunately, they don't all have the same hiring practices and do not attend the same job fairs. We hope to have the opportunity to interview face-to-face with interested schools, but would like to also avail ourselves to the power of technology. We are available for web conferences and can provide many resources to help interested schools get to know us and our teaching practices better.

I don't really want to give Brady all these extraordinary ratings because I know that makes it even more likely that we could lose him. He is truly an outstanding educator, as perfect a teacher as one could hope for. I am envious of the school that he will choose for his next position.

Brady has a real gift with people. He comes across immediately as sincere, self-possessed, and serious -- all of which he is.

Dear Mrs. Cline,
. . .Without sounding too "gushy" I can't help but notice that the promises made by the staff at the presentation at the beginning of the school year and the visions stated by the planning committee in January, are apparently being implemented and lived on a daily basis. . . [the students] are REALLY on their way to being prepared for their future in a very unknown world. Exactly what we hope for in giving our children an education. Thank you , thank you, thank you.
Best wishes for continued success,
Lisa C. Steindorf, a very proud mother
